We just had a great getaway “staycation.” We had planned on just chilling out for the weekend, and the functionality of the house allowed us to do just that; it’s so close to Hatcher’s Pass and Independence Mine that it was a fun day outing. The kitchen is so nice to prepare meals for a big family. The six-burner stove and the double oven made cooking multi parts of a meal a breeze. The kitchen is well-stocked with nice pots and pans, utensils and bowls. The bathrooms were sparkling clean, the showers are roomy and jacuzzi tubs (there’s one in each bathroom) are awesome. The one upstairs has an incredible skylight to watch the stars while soaking in the tub. The highlight of our stay was the wrap-around deck and fire pit. Just make sure to bring your own wood because you won’t want to miss out on that. Overall, we would highly recommend this place for a getaway for anyone who wants to be out of town and close to some incredible hikes.

This place is my dream home! It was beautiful and clean inside and out, with huge sunny decks on all sides. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are luxurious and the kitchen/dining room is great for cooking and hanging out. The house is minutes from Hatcher’s Pass, so it is a great jumping off point for hiking or downtown Palmer activities. Or you can choose to pass the time by the rustic campfire watching wildlife - we saw moose a moose and porcupine. The host was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. I hope to stay here again - I bet it is very cozy in the winter!

I was surprised to find such a great place for such a great price. When our new home wasn’t ready to occupy as planned, I made a last-minute reservation here since they were pet-friendly. I didn’t have high expectations since the rates were low and they allowed pets. Man, was that wrong. This is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. I could have just moved in here and stayed. It truly was a home away from home. The host really thought of everything and our stay was perfect. With everything that was happening with our home, it was so nice to have this haven to come back to and relax every day.

Very clean and beautiful space! Extremely kid and family friendly! Love the pack and play and booster seat! So nice for the kids to have a place to go outside and play! Would definitely recommend for families traveling in the area. It’s close to Hatcher’s Pass and not far from Anchorage.

Great place! Super easy check-in and convenient location. Sparkling clean with everything we needed. Will try to come back here on my next trip to Alaska.
